Thirty minutes with the right person, at the right moment. Direct Counsel is a private, paid advisory session with me personally, focused entirely on the question or decision in front of you.
Three types of sessions available, each designed for a specific moment in your property or estate planning journey.
You have a contract in front of you and you want to understand it before you make an offer or sign.
A focused, guided walkthrough of a residential property contract of sale, reviewed together during the session so you understand what you're signing, what matters, and what to watch out for. We work through the contract with you in real time, covering key provisions, conditions, and anything that warrants your attention before you commit. You are also welcome to come with your own questions and concerns — the session is yours and we will make sure the things that matter to you get covered.
The emphasis is on practical guidance and informed decision-making, not formal written advice or amendments. If what you need goes beyond the session, a written review, special conditions, or ongoing representation is available through a separate engagement when you are ready.
You are preparing to buy and you want a solicitor's perspective before you go further.
Strategic guidance for clients preparing to purchase, covering the purchase process, offer strategy, and the decisions you will face along the way.
This session is about approaching your purchase with a clear head and a solicitor's perspective before you commit. We discuss what to look for, how to position yourself, and where the legal risks tend to sit in a residential transaction. If you are ready to make an offer, we can work through that together during the session.
Detailed contract review, drafting beyond the offer, or ongoing representation is available through a separate engagement if you need it.
You know you need to get your affairs in order. You are not sure where to start.
A strategic discussion to clarify your estate planning goals and make sense of your options, including wills, testamentary trusts, powers of attorney, medical treatment decision makers, superannuation binding death benefit nominations, and how they interact.
Most people come to this session unsure where to start; they leave with a clear picture of what they need, why it matters, and what to do next. You leave with clarity, a clear sense of priorities, and a practical path forward.
Any formal drafting or implementation is reserved for a follow-up engagement when you are ready to proceed.
All sessions are $265 + GST, thirty minutes, delivered by phone or video call.
